Only two types of machines can produce this unique 3D knitwear: One is the machine from the Japanese company Shima Seiki and the other from the German manufacturer Stoll.

The designer, using special software, programs the appropriate pattern and sets up the machine accordingly. The more colors there are, the more complicated the process becomes. The weaving of the threads, their overlapping and the 3D effect are all very complex. Even an experienced knitwear designer takes several days to program.The machines then take a further three to four hours to knit the front of a sweater created in this way.
