Carlo colucci

In the 1980s and 90s, CARLO COLUCCI gained cult status worldwide thanks to its dynamic design, high-quality craftsmanship, and vibrant color combinations.

Knitted sweaters are the highlight of Carlo Colucci collections. The unique style is highlighted by special patterns, structures and colors. Only two types of machines can produce this unique 3D knitwear: One is the machine from the Japanese company Shima Seiki and the other from the German manufacturer Stoll.

The designer, using special software, programs the appropriate pattern and sets up the machine accordingly. The more colors there are, the more complicated the process becomes. The weaving of the threads, their overlapping and the 3D effect are all very complex. Even an experienced knitwear designer takes several days to program. The machines then take a further three to four hours to knit the front of a sweater created in this way. Due to the special requirements, special yarns are also required

However, only a few yarn manufacturers can produce multicolored yarns, as the raw material is time-consuming to spin and difficult to produce in stock. The effort that goes into creating customized knitwear emphasizes the requirement for quality and uniqueness. CARLO COLUCCI produces men's, women's and children's clothing, as well as accessories, bags, underwear and shoes.
